Our Name

Yes, we know how "snowflake" in used in today's culture. It's sad. Snowflakes are actually pretty amazing, from formation to existence as one-of-a-kind. We will not change our name because:

1. Organizations share many things but are also unique entities. They have their own unique situations and challenges. We appreciate similarities and differences!

2. The snowflake's life cycle provides a vision for organization formation and growth. Our goal is to help clients evolve and transform into something greater.

3. For 30 years, our founder's father was a meteorologist in upstate New York. He loved the whole idea of snowflakes! We know he is with us on our journey.

Yes, we're very aware of the connotations of the word "snowflake" in today's culture. It's really quite unfortunate, because snowflakes are actually pretty darn amazing. From formation to existence, they're one-of-a-kind creations. Each and every individual stands out in a crowded sky.

We named the company before the word became a derisive term, and we're not changing it. We don't like to give in, and there are three other reasons too:

Organizations share many concerns, but they're also their own unique entities. We appreciate their similarities and differences. We treat each client as an individual, while leveraging what we've learned from others.

The snowflake's life cycle provides a vision for organization formation and growth. Our goal is to help clients build on their strengths and find their niches, evolving and transforming themselves into greater things.

We also honor our founder's father, who served for more than 30 years as a meteorologist in upstate New York. He loved the whole idea of snowflakes, even though he hated snow! We know he is with us on our journey.
