There are over 200 non-profits in the Valley with discrete programs focused on food and clothing, short-term housing, free health care, job training and placement, and other key community needs. NANSV promotes collaboration among these organizations so that, together, they can offer clients a "continuum of care" that addresses essential challenges and provides opportunities to become economically stable and socially integrated.
Our work with NANSV strengthens the Alliance's capacity to develop critical partnerships that lead to collective action to transform lives and build stronger communities.

Employ Prince George's, Inc. (EPG) is a bridge between job-seekers and businesses in Prince George's County, Maryland. The organization prepares candidates to help them improve both their job and interview skills, and connects them with companies that need qualified employees to help them succeed. From individuals transitioning back into society from incarceration, to the chronically unemployed, to individuals making career transitions, many people have seen their lives transformed because of EPG's programs, services, and professional staff. What's more, the organization is constantly seeking new ways to increase its regional impact.
Our support for EPG improved capacity and encouraged innovation for intelligent growth. With our help, it's changing the dynamic for individuals, families, and the community.

There are many challenges to getting help in this rural county, from limited transportation to lack of affordable housing. DSS, which provides services such as adult and child protection, foster family placement, social security, and many others, is working hard to overcome these barriers to critical assistance, directly and through community partners. The safety and security it offers is augmented by a firm commitment to getting residents on the right paths for long-term self-sufficiency, changing their fortunes for good..
